The fort d'Uxegney
Erected between 1882 and 1884 and modernized before 1914, this signifiant Military work, fortified town of Epinal, survived World War I and World War II without being damage.
It remains one of the rarest examples of fort « Séré de Rivières ».

Built in the 11th century on a promontory by the Moselle, this castle was signifcantly expanded in the 15th century. Works of clearing and stenghtening the towers and walls made since 1972 give back to the forteress its dimension of the past. .A system of galeries linking the defense works were used to communicate with downtown and with the bank of the Moselle.
